Comfort Hotel Aeroport Lyon St Exupery, Colombier-Saugnieu

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were very basic and lacked a mini-fridge, which was a bit inconvenient. There was a slight smell in the room, but eventually, the issue was resolved after switching rooms. The late check-out option until noon the next day was a lifesaver for me!

At the start and end of my week-long trip to France, the hotel had a lingering cigarette smell that could use a refresher. However, the service was very helpful and accommodating, even in the middle of the night. The location, near Lyon Airport, was excellent for easy access, but the dining experience left much to be desired with poor service and limited options.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed, despite the rooms absolutely smelling like old cigarettes and mold, but it only cost us 25 per cent of a regular room rate. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff who even offered an airport shuttle. The location was ideal for a good night's sleep close to Lyon Airport. Dining was decent but lacked variety in main course choices. Overall, a budget-friendly stay with a few drawbacks.

However, I did notice some black mold that triggered my allergies, making it feel like a college dorm room. The location was very convenient to the airport but a bit difficult to find the shuttle service. The dining options were a bit lacking with a limited menu that felt like a simple box breakfast. Overall, there were some ups and downs during my stay.
